I’m sure that like me, many of you simply trash your emails from the school. And like me, you would have missed out on the awesome news that NTU will now be providing shuttle services from the east and northen-western parts of Singapore; more specifically, Tampines and Chua Chu Kang. Thankfully a friend of mine alerted me to this and though I don’t have much time left in NTU, it’ll be pretty useful to have.
The original email is as follows:
Pilot Shuttle Bus Service from Tampines and Choa Chu Kang MRT stations to NTU
In response to students’ feedback, the Office of Housing and Auxiliary Services is launching two trial one-way shuttle bus services – from Tampines MRT station to NTU and from Choa Chu Kang MRT to NTU.
These are trial shuttle bus services to assist our students who reside in the eastern and northern parts of Singapore to commute to campus more conveniently.
The Tampines shuttle service is scheduled to start next week, on 18 August 2014. There are two one-way shuttle bus trips on weekdays, at 7.15 am and 7.30 am.
The Choa Chu Kang service will start on 1 September 2014. More details on the pick-up point and timings will be announced later.
For more information and updates, visit HAS’ Transportation website or email: shuttlebus@ntu.edu.sg.
I wish you all a fruitful and stimulating Academic Year ahead!
All the best,
Assoc Prof Kwok Kian Woon

For real? I may have missed this email or they did not send out to NIE students. This will definitely make my uni life so much brighter! I hope this is true and not just a rumour.
Hi fafa!
It’s currently in the trial stages so perhaps the email was sent out to only NTU students through I’m sure you won’t have any problems boarding any of the buses. Last I heard, the buses are hardly occupied (I blame the extremely early timings). 🙁

Awesome! It would be MUCH MORE AWESOME if there’s shuttle bus services FROM NTU TO THE EAST!!!
Hi Ntu!
Agreed! I heard after the trials they will likely increase the bus frequency and possibly provide return trips! *fingers crossed* 😀
