NTU Goals Calculator
This GPA goals calculator allows you to calculate what grades you need for the upcoming semester/rest
of your degree for various goals such as Honours Class and Exchange Program. It is a great tool to help
you plan ahead for your academic life!
Hint: To find out if a GPA Goal is ever possible, fill in your remaining AUs into the AU box.
hi, would like to know if i’m thinking of taking 22AU but effectively, 3AU’s are pass/fail and another 3AU’s i intend to use my S/U on it.
then would using your calculator still be accurate, if i just key in 22 AU’s for the blank box meant for this semester?
Hi Em!
I’m glad you asked this question. 🙂 When filling up the number of AUs you are taking this semester, please minus off modules that only have a pass fail grading and modules that you are sure you want to SU.
In this case, the total number of effective AUs you are taking is semester will be: 22AUs – 3AUs(Pass/Fail) – 3AUs (Definitely SUing) = 18 AUs.
I hope this clears things up. 🙂 Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hello! I believe you have an error for the input for Second class. it says 3.59-3.50. i believe it should be 3.99-3.5? 🙂 thanks! apart from that this is very useful!
thought i’d share this calculator for people who wants to calculate their letter grade for a module: https://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~immer/gradecalc.html pretty good!
Hi Tare!
Thanks for pointing that out! I’ve corrected the mistake. 🙂 It’s was purely a visual error so don’t worry about any previous calculations you might have made. 🙂
Also thanks for the share! I’ll look into writing one up for our grade structure! Keep a look out for it! 😀

Hey Zueet! May I know do you know anyone who took Intro to Energy before as an elective? Recently i sort of flunk my second quiz due to the high weightage. May I know what is a likely grade if all for quizzes you get average scores of the whole cohort?
Hi Bryan!
Actually I took that myself. It’s rather competitive. Me and my friend decently for all three quizzes with only a one mark difference between the both of us. That one mark resulted in a grade difference. 🙁 I highly recommend you SU the module if you failed a quiz.

Thankssss
what is the meaning of SU?
Hi hosea!
S/U stands for Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. You S/U up to 12 AUs of electives in NTU. If you get an S (Grade C and above), you to earn the module AUs without having the grade of that module affect your GPA. If you get a U (C- and below) you will not earn the AUs for that module but on the bright side, your GPA won’t be affected. 🙂
Hope this helps!
